Jennie is still doing pretty well today. Her hemoglobin has dropped from an 8.0 yesterday to 7.3 today, so they are going to give her two units of blood. At this point we are unsure what the cause is, but Dr. Sutherland hasn't come in yet today so hopefully he will have some ideas when we see him. Jennie is not feeling as well today, but I think that is likely due to the low blood count so with any luck she will feel better after the transfusion has begun.
PT would like for her to get up and walk a bit today, but I doubt that will happen until after the transfusion because she is just so weak. I will post again if we find anything major out, but it looks like today will be another day with lots of rest and just letting her body heal a bit on its own.
